I'm so disappointed in the new items...

I don't think AG is glorifying fur. My niece, who dresses very conservative, got a dark purple velour dress last winter with fake cheetah at the collar in black and grey.

And it's actually quite cute! That fake fur stuff was very popular last year, and the clothes my nieces picked out weren't smothered in it.

These girls today DON'T know what fur coats are. I wonder if they've ever seen one. I had a rabbit jacket when I was in high school (God bless the eighties) but I don't think kids now have ever seen such a thing, just hanging on a rack in a department store like they did when I was a kid.

I like the AGOT Cheetah outfit, but not the bitty one (WHAT were they thinking?)
I also like the sightseeing outfit, i think it is REALLY adorble.

The other stuff is okay in my opinion, and i like the Galla outfit...but i'm not to estatic about them...

Cami when I read your post about having a nine year old I was like, "What?? I thought she was like my age??!!" Then I got it [img]wink.gif[/img] And I certainly agree.

The baby outfit is ridicoulus. Everytime I see that picture of the bitty in that cheetah print with his arms curled around himself, I keep thinking he's going to start freestyling a rap session...its so ridicoulusly trendy for a BABY DOLL. LOL I do love the travel outfit though, I wouldnt mind an outfit like that for myself! But I also think the travel accessories are a bit boring and lacking in detail .

I'm thrilled that I won't have to purchase anything this season except for Elizabeth and Felicity items! LOL! And dh is probably very grateful to AG for making such ugly clothes this season.

I mean Bitty Baby looks like a bag lady in that cheery cheetah costume or whatever it is. Ugh! Would anyone really dress a baby like that?

I was really looking forward to the Coconut tree, but now that I see it...Pink? Mmmmmm...I don't know... Well, maybe my dds will like it, but how Christmassy is pink? I've seen that pink Barbie tree at Toys R Us...maybe that's the look they're going for?

Well, I can't wait for Baby Polly and her adorable cradle and that gorgeous yellow dress in Ria's avatar...oh, isn't that just dreamy? And I know my dds will want to save for the stable. It's almost like a new scenes and setting!

Well, looks like I'll be looking elsewhere for a lot of Christmas gifts this year, especially for dd who doesn't have Felicity and Elizabeth. [img]frown.gif[/img]

I agree with Asisan AG about the gloves for the gala outfit. That does seem a little extreme for a 10 year old. Of course you could always cut them down to make short gloves. That was very popular during the forties, fifties and sixties, even for little girls. I remember going to ballrooms class and having to wear short white gloves in class.

I always liked to wear the long gloves when I played dress up as a little girl.

I don't think little girls actually wear gloves, long or short, anymore. So they are just for looks. Most girls when i was young thought they were super glamourous, which is probably why they go with the outfit.

I think they look really cute.

I really like the new Gala dress. I'm not crazy about the cheetah chocolate cherry look, but that great because I will be saving money. I do like most of the new Felicity/Elizabeth items and I think the new AGOT dolls are very nice. I usually only like half of the AGOT line which is fine with me. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I actually liked the new AGT items, even the Cheetah stuff. I didn't think I could ever possibly like something that was called "Chocolate Cherry Cheetah," but I do! The only thing I don't like is the travel accessories. I mean, who has a shiny purple suitcase??

I'm happy that AG is finally putting out some fashion-forward outfits for the AGTs. They might get dated faster, but if they do mostly separates, then hopefully girls will be able to mix-and-match to help with that problem. I like the fact that they're finally coming out with clothes that I might actually buy for myself. Isn't that the point of AGTs - "She's just like you; you're a part of history too!" This was probably a big reason why I never wanted many of the AGT everyday outfits before. In the past they've been a little funky and just not my style. I've usually gravitated towards the dress-up dresses instead. AG does a good job on those. So, all in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by the new AGT lineup.
